He was very focused and intense in his passion for his work and other artist colleagues. He was important in inspiring me as a young artist. I live in Berlin now and work full time as an artist.

Israeli writer, artist Amos Kenan dead at 82 Amos Kenan, prominent Israeli writer, artist and journalist, whose writing and art helped define modern Israeli culture, has died in Tel Aviv. He was 82. He was known for his newspaper columns, plays and books, many of which satirized the Israeli government and organized religion, and also as a prolific painter, sculptor and movie director.
